BASIC GUIDELINES FOR
A BETTER SOUND

If you are interested in
improving your sound system pay attention to the following points:
1.
Room characteristics such as size and shape;
Acoustic
treatment of the room;
Specific places in the room where you locate the equipment and the listener;
(these are
responsible for about half of the final sound results);
2.
Electrical
Installation;
(responsible for about one third of the final results);
3.
Equipment (everything,
including cables);
4.
System
Grounding;
5.
Equipment
Vibration;
6.
Acessories (including
AC outlets, plugs and other items).
In the following
articles we will present other lists, one of each of above-mentioned items, with
the crucial requisits, in order of importance, to accomplish our goal of a sound
reprodution closest to reality as possible.
